lel samar, from arabic, means "to converse", "to flirt with the night".
The lel samar project is an artistic undertaking of two ambitious musicians. It consists of the lebanese singer-composer Dida Guigan and the swiss composer-zitherist Marcel Saegesser. Their research tends to find a place, a way to converse between their two traditions by combining elements of the arab and occidental music heritage, trying to avoid the use of stereotypes.
