COMPOSITION FOR A DANCE THEATRE PIECE // 2008
DorFMoRD
A small village where everyone knows everyone and where the relationships towards
eachother seem to be in a perfect order. Everyday people in an everyday neighbourhood
living an ordinary life.
All of a sudden, there's a dead body lying in the street.
The piece is performed by an ensemble of eight dancers from all over the world.
The story and the choreography are made by the Czech dancer and choreographer
Barbora Kryslova Greiner. Marcel Saegesser composed a custom-built
music for the piece and performed it live on stage with electronics and alto zither.
He was chosen for a composition stipend by the Schweizerische Autorengesellschaft SSA.
